Brookland Bombshells
The Brookland Bombshells is a community yarn bombing group in the Brookland neighborhood in NE Washington, DC. Founded by the artists at Studio 15 of the Arts Walk in November 2013, we intend to create amazing knitted work while enriching personal relationship and promoting participation in community life. We love to share ideas and knowledge and always meet with open minds and hearts. Anyone is welcome to join, expert knitters and crocheters as well as complete beginners. With Leda Black and Marcelle Fozard, two artists from diverse and eclectic backgrounds, I participated in the Old Takoma Recycled Art Project. In our collective work we concentrated on repurposing used and discarded materials.
